On May 3, 2016 the California Homebuilding Foundation (CHF) will participate in the 2016 BIG Day of Giving—a 24-hour online charity challenge—to raise awareness of the Foundation’s Building Industry Technology Academy (BITA)!
BITA is a comprehensive, four-year California high school program fostering applicable skills and valuable knowledge in students seeking careers in construction—a labor force that has drastically diminished since the great recession and is currently seeking a new generation of trained professionals.
Remember, you only have 24 hours to ‘give where your heart is,’ so make it count! Go online Tuesday, May 3 to this webpage: http://givingedge.guidestar.org/nonprofit.aspx?orgId=1132629 and donate to CHF and BITA on the regional BIG Day of Giving!
The BIG Day of Giving celebrates May 3rd as “…an opportunity not only for donors to show their community pride [and] support the nonprofits that are working hard to make our region great.”
Last May CHF joined with nonprofits in the Sacramento region as part of the 9,000 nationwide organizations raising over $68 million on this charitable day, known as Give Local America.
Go online May 3rd to help support CHF and the BITA program! Make sure to engage with us on social media during #BIGDoG2016 and tweet to @CHF_1978.
