Local BIAs and HBAs

Ten regional Building Industry Associations serve the homebuilding industry around California. (In some regions, these local organizations are known as Home Builders Associations.)

California Homebuilding Foundation

The California Homebuilding Foundation (CHF) is the research and education center for California’s homebuilding and construction industries. Founded in 1978 through CBIA, the Foundation serves the industry by providing scholarships and research through its endowments, professional development programs, and recognition of industry leaders through Hall of Fame.

Building Industry Institute

BII was founded in 1993 by CBIA to develop, implement, and administer research and educational programs for homebuilders, developers, and the general public. BII also disseminates information that facilitates the construction of quality homes for consumers.

National Association of Homebuilders

NAHB is a federation of more than 800 state and local builders associations throughout the United States, including CBIA and its regional affiliates. The Washington, D.C.-based trade association promotes policies at the federal level that will keep housing a national priority.
