Women's Council
The CBIA Women’s Council is dedicated to improving the homebuilding industry by enhancing local Women’s Councils within the State of California by creating an invaluable network of communication, training, education and leadership for the membership constituency while supporting the professional development of all individual members within the building industry.
We do this by:
• Encouraging every member’s active involvement in community outreach, political and legislative activities, and networking events throughout the State of California.
• Acting as a liaison and information center for state and national matters to state-chartered local councils and state members-at-large.
• Recognizing, training and promoting future leadership within each local Women’s Council, and within CBIA and NAHB government as well.
• Supplying assistance to state-chartered council programs with membership recruitment and retention, event planning and leadership recognition.
PCBC Women's Council Award Luncheon
The Women’s Council is proud to announce M.J. Ryan, best-selling author, speaker, and former CEO who will speak about Managing Energy for High Performance. In this talk, Ryan will talk about the science of resilience, explaining why, to be a truly high performing business woman, you must take care of yourself. She’ll discuss for instance, the relationship between stress, obesity and insomnia, as well as the effects of overexertion on decision-making, positive mood and ability to handle business ups and downs. You’ll learn how to assess yourself in four domains of wellness and will leave armed with tools to increase performance and sustain lasting positive change.
