CBIA Still Taking Comments on CALGreen Guidebook
CBIA is continuing to take comments and questions for a guide to the California Green Building Standards Code (CALGreen), prepared by the Department of Housing and Community Development's Division of Codes and Standards.
This guidebook is updated over time and aims to provide commentary, background, questions and answers, as well as provide some helpful tools for the code user. This current guide and first edition is developed by HCD and is only intended to educate and provide further understanding on the mandatory measures developed for low-rise residential structures.
HCD would like the assistance of as many participants in the building industry to begin vetting the current first edition guide. CBIA was heavily involved with the development of this guide and would ask that members begin reviewing the document and submitting, suggestions, concerns, questions and additional information.
Comments should be submitted by the end of September. CBIA will be submitting comments to HCD as they come to our attention.
