Summary
Established in 2007 to promote builders and businesses to be more sustainable, the San Bernardino Board of Supervisors adopted Green County San Bernardino. Participating builders will be eligible for accelerated plan review, priority inspections, design assistance and recognition for all qualified projects.
Builders can earn their green building designation by following any one of these county-approved green-rating systems:
- California Green Builder
- Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED)
- The county’s Green Building Basics Checklist
Residents in the County’s unincorporated areas can also receive incentives such as waived permit fees for reducing their home’s energy usage.
