Summary

As a participant in San Diego County’s Green Building Incentive Program, the county will waive associated building permit and plan check fees for photovoltaic systems. The program is promoting the use of resource efficient construction materials, water conservations and energy efficiency in new and remodeled residential and commercial buildings.

Additionally, the county will reduce plan check fees by approximately 7.5 percent and grant expedited plan check, saving approximately 7-10 days on a project timeline.

Other rebates and incentives may be available to those building greener and more efficient homes and buildings.
