Summary

The City of Palo Alto offers incentives to build more efficient homes than currently required by the state. Using the Build It Green rating system, each home must receive a minimum of 70 points to be eligible through the Green Building Standards for Compliance for Private Development program.

Homebuilders must fill out a form from the website listed above, and then reserve a rebate amount which will give the builder 18 months to complete the project.

Rebates will be received 8 to 12 weeks after project completion, and funding is on a first-come, first-served basis, or until funds are depleted.
