Membership with CBIA

To protect your interests, CBIA employs a full-time team of skilled Government Affairs advocates who bring a wealth of industry knowledge and Capitol expertise to serve the membership.

As a member of our association, you will stay on top of industry trends, gain vital insight into the mechanics and importance of government advocacy and make the connections you’ll need to stay competitive in today’s marketplace.

Your membership supports critical advocacy at the California State Capitol, Washington, DC, and local government bodies to aggressively support policies that ensure continued growth of the home-building industry.

Local membership in our association is the required first step which is established through one of our nine Local BIA/HBA’s and includes general membership with CBIA, the California Building Industry Association and NAHB, the National Association of Home Builders.

Once general membership is established, we are pleased to offer two state level CBIA membership programs which provide you with greatly enhanced benefit packages for your consideration – CBIA Board Membership and CBIA Partner Membership.

Benefits

CBIA membership provides a unique opportunity for you to significantly shape the future of both your business and the industry. There’s strength in numbers! With over 3,000 members statewide, membership provides you with the power to have your voice heard in the Capitol. CBIA is here to help your business and our industry move forward and stay strong.

Thanks to the size and strength of our federation, our advocacy team has been able to provide our members with billions of dollars in either reduced costs or increased revenues; safeguard against legislation that would have stagnated construction growth; and advocate for programs that will create jobs in the new construction sector.

Your support and participation is an effective way to strengthen your business, build new relationships, influence California’s legislative and regulatory environment and stay on top of critical news.
