CBIA compliments its legislative and legal advocacy efforts with a regulatory advocacy program that focuses on key state agencies, boards, and commissions that have regulatory authority over residential construction and land use activities.

CBIA recognizes that the regulatory landscape in California continues to be a major impediment towards meeting the housing needs of the state. California homebuilders have first-hand experience in dealing with numerous state agencies that have regulatory jurisdiction over environmental and natural resources.  All of these agencies have the ability to create unnecessary delay, add exorbitant costs, and require onerous mitigation requirements on projects throughout California.
